The cooling curve of calcium chloride aqueous solution, the cooling capacity of calcium chloride aqueous solution with different contents, and the hardenability curve of several steels in calcium chloride aqueous solution, see figure. It can be seen that the maximum cooling rate of 10% CaCl2 aqueous solution is about 1900 ℃/s, the corresponding temperature is about 600 ℃, and the characteristic temperature is about 750 ℃. With the increase of the concentration, the cooling capacity decreases, but the peak value of the cooling rate moves to the high temperature. The maximum cooling rate of saturated calcium chloride aqueous solution is about 1300 ℃/s, the corresponding temperature is about 600 ℃, and the cooling rate below 300 ℃ is obviously reduced. Obviously, the cooling performance is excellent and it is an ideal quenching medium.

The temperature chart of calcium chloride aqueous solution is generally controlled between 20~70 ℃ and the density is controlled between 1.05~1.46g/cm3.
